When is the last moment to send your parcel?
The number of shipments increases during the holiday season, so we encourage you not to leave ordering purchases and sending gifts to the last minute.
What is the latest date to send holiday packages?
We recommend arranging holiday shipments in advance – in the first half of December. For the parcel to reach the recipient by Christmas, it should be handed over to the courier or placed in the parcel machine no later than December 20.
If you are sending to the Baltic countries – Lithuania or Estonia – the shipment should be arranged by December 19.
If you want your shipments to reach recipients in the European Union, the United Kingdom, North America, or Canada, they should be sent at the beginning of December.
Be sure to check when parcels are picked up from the specific parcel machine.
Parcel pickup
Once you receive a notification about collecting your parcel from the parcel machine, please pick it up as soon as possible. Please also pay attention to the storage period of the parcel – before the holidays, it may be shorter than usual.
Due to the increased volume of parcels, some parcel machines, especially the most popular ones, may be overcrowded during the holiday season. In such a case, the parcel may be redirected to the nearest other parcel machine or a parcel collection point, or delivered directly from the Omniva “elf bus”.
You will receive all information in the delivery notification, so please pay attention to it.
Our customers can also mark their preferred and most convenient parcel machines on the self-service website (mana.omniva.lv) or in the mobile app. If the first chosen parcel machine is full, the shipment will, if possible, be redirected to another defined parcel machine.
Parcel packing
We encourage you to pack shipments in a way that protects them from damage during transportation and automatic sorting. You can find useful tips and packaging recommendations here.
Be sure to firmly attach the address label – avoid slippery surfaces. Make sure there are no old address labels on the package.
