What is COD?

Cash on Delivery (COD) is an additional payment option you can offer alongside your existing checkout methods. Instead of paying upfront online, the customer pays when they receive or collect their parcel. Omniva collects the amount from the recipient and transfers it to you — you don’t need to manage the collection process yourself.

Since June 2026, customers can pay COD parcels through the Omniva app — meaning COD delivery is now possible even at community parcel machines that don’t have a built-in payment terminal.

How often are COD payments transferred to my bank account?

COD payments are transferred once per week. If needed, a different payout frequency can be= agreed individually.
How can I set the COD in the system so that it appears on the shipment?

When creating a shipment in the Business Self-Service, go to “Additional services” and select “Cash on Delivery (COD)”. Enter the COD amount, recipient and bank account number. Once completed, COD will be added to the shipment.
Which bank account will COD payments be transferred to?

COD payments are transferred by bank transfer to the bank account specified by your company when setting up the service.
Can you remove, add, or change the COD amount?

Yes. To remove, add, or change the COD amount, please contact our Business Customer Support team by email or phone. Please make sure to contact us using the email address or phone number registered in our database and linked to your business account.
What is the minimum and maximum COD amount per shipment?

The COD amount can range from €1 to €4,000 per shipment. The amount cannot exceed the total value of the shipment and the delivery costs.
Can the recipient pay for a COD parcel in cash?

No. Cash payments are not available for COD shipments. The recipient can pay by bank card or through the Omniva mobile app.
How can my customer pay for a COD parcel using the Omniva app?

When the COD parcel arrives, the customer receives a notification that payment must be completed before the parcel can be collected.
The customer should:
1. Open the Omniva mobile app.
2. Find the parcel awaiting payment under incoming parcels.
3. Complete the payment securely in the app.
4. Once the payment is completed, collect the parcel from the parcel machine.
COD payments in the Omniva app also make it possible to receive COD parcels from parcel machines without a payment terminal, including community parcel machines.
